Also, Frequently websites like the ones you’ve brought up are used in order to track what broadcast spot produces what response or in many instances they are used to track revenue-share deals with TV & Radio stations running the ads.
For instance they might assign a TV station or Radio Station to each website to see which advertising location produces the best response.
